How to Update Galaxy Nexus S 4G with Jellybean 4.1 Firmware Update
Galaxy Nexus S 4G smartphone by Google can now be updated with the leaked version of Jellybean 4.1 device. Officially Google will soon be pushing out the update for Galaxy Nexus S 4G, but as of now there is no exact date on by when it will be rolled out. SMS – Use “SMS Backup & Restore app”,Contacts – Sync with the Gmail application,Call Log - Call Log and RestoreSongs, Videos, Files – Copy to internal / External SD Card,APN and MMS Settings – Note down from the path “Applications > Settings > Wireless and Network > Mobile Networks > Access Point Names”
Enable the USB Debugging mode in your Galaxy Nexus 4G from the path “Settings > Applications > Development > USB debugging”. Also, ensure that the minimum battery level is a minimum of 60% to make sure that your Galaxy nexus 4G doesn’t get turned off in the middle of firmware update.

Procedure to Update Galaxy Nexus S 4G with Official Jellybean 4.1 Firmware Update:
- Download the Jellybean 4.1 firmware Package for Galaxy Nexus S 4G from here to your computer. Once downloaded, you now need to connect your device with the computer using the original USB cable and then place the downloaded zip file in your device.
- Disconnect the device connected from the computer and turn off the same so that it can be entered in the recovery mode.
- The recovery mode in the Galaxy Nexus S 4G can be entered by Pressing the Volume down button and at the same time you need to press the power button to boot the device in the recovery mode.
- Select Wipe data/factory reset and also you need to select Wipe Cache partition and then reboot your device by selecting reboot system now with the help of Volume rocker keys.
