- First and foremost, this update is out only for the TAKJU model of GSM Galaxy Nexus and not for the devices which are YAKJU GSM models. In short, this update as of now can only be applied if and only if your device is on the latest IMM30D. If your device is on the IMM76I version or on IMM76D etc. then this should not be applied. Though as per different forums and websites have mentioned that this firmware can also be applied on the YAKJU models, we strictly recommend you to follow the instructions mentioned.

Charge left in your device should be >50% so as to make sure that the device doesn’t get turned Off. Procedure to Update Galaxy Nexus with JRN84D Android 4.1 Firmware:
- Download the Jellybean 4.1 JRN84D Firmware from here to your computer. Once its downloaded, you now need to connect your device with the computer using the Original USB cable and place the downloaded zip file in your device.
- Disconnect the device and turn Off the device so that it can then be entered in the recovery mode. Turn off the Galaxy Nexus so that it can be entered in the Boot loader mode.
